I went to bed last night with a headache, which I put down to eyestrain. Took some papacetamol, and went to bed. 2.30 this morning, woke up shivering (body hot, loads of covers on) and feeling sick. I spent the next two hours breathing deeply, trying to avoid being sick! Managed to fall asleep again, and woke up this am feeling achy all over, woth a pounding head. Anyone else felt like this? Is it just a virus?

My ds has felt like this since Friday - and still isn't any better.
Hope you (and he) feel better soon.

I had a similar sounding virus last week - felt yucky and had a temperature Tuesday evening, went to work on Wednesday, came back, fell asleep at 7pm, woke up (drenched in sweat) at 10am, felt yucky all day and by Friday feeling lots better.

Am fine now . And DH and DS don't seem to have been affected.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone! Quick replies Feeling a little better now I have had some more paracetamol. Dh has taken ds out to a lake about 15 miles from here for a walk in the sun, which is lovely of him. I might go and run myself a bath with my Virgin Vie bath nectar, and soak away the aches.

Hate feeling sick though. It was horrible...I didn't dare get up and go to the bathroom last night in case I was sick

There's something dodgy going round in our house this week. Lots of nausea and dodgy stomachs. I was worried that I might have been pregnant again as I have woken up feeling sick every morning this week but now poor dd1 has it. Bless her - she has been having stomach pains all morning and is crying in pain. It's horrible and there isn't much I can do for her other than let it pass.

spacedonkey · 19/12/2004 13:57

poor you dior

I know what you mean about feeling sick. I will happily lay in bed fighting nausea for anything up to twelve hours rather than go and get the deed over and done with, even though I know it will make me feel better. Well, "happily" is not the word, but you know what I mean.

Enjoy your soak XXX

Thanks again. Am off now for my deep bath and bubbles. Feel better just knowing it is a virus (was a bit worried at the rapidity of feeling so crap), and hope all of you and your families feel better again soon.

Still feeling crap. My Dad told me that there is a 48 hour sickness bug going round, so hopefull I'll feel better tomorrow. Went to bed at 7.30pm last night. I think that I was 12 the last time I did that

Hope everyone else is feeling better today?

I think there's two varieties going round. One turns into a cold. The other is mainly nausea and headache. I had the nausea for ten days - decided I was pregnant - I wasn't .

the good news is that you and I should both be better for Christmas [happy]

Yes, thank God! Hope you have a good one Hester!
