Scabies

Hello!
For the past few days I've become so paranoid about scabies. I was sat opposite someone the other day who had bites on her hands and she was itching her back and hands constantly. I know it's not guaranteed that she had scabies but that's what it looked like to me.

So, if she did have scabies, I'm paranoid because I sat in a chair that she briefly touched (she stumbled and had to grab it to balance).

Am I right in saying that the risk of me catching scabies via furniture is extremely low? I see that it's transmitted via direct and prolonged skin to skin contact but also saw a few threads online that said that they contracted it without direct contact...

Just thinking about it makes me itch!!
