Wondering if anyone out there has developed any breathing issues and have Ulcerative colitis too?
I'm feeling fed up.
After battling really bad colitis for 12 years, I ended up having my bowel removed and have a stoma. After about 6m post op I developed a cough which progressively got worse, very short of breath, lots of mucus with it.
I have been getting treated as an asthmatic although I don't have an official diagnosis. Have been referred to the hospital and have a CT scan next week. The consultant said it could be bronchitises as there is a link between the 2. The inhalers etc she gave me haven't helped.
I think all the coughing has put a strain on my stomach and I feel like something has popped and I've given myself a hernia.
My ribs and head ache from the coughing and I'm feeling bloody fed up tonight. I've always been positive through my health issues but not tonight.
I'm just worried if I have that what the treatment would be and will I be like this forever. I struggle to even walk at the moment without being out of puff. I'm a mum to two boys under 3 and it makes me sad I can't walk and talk at the same time with them. Is this life now?
