Lump behind the ear

Hi! I noticed a lump behind my ear about a months ago. It’s still there and hasn’t gone down. It’s quite hard. I went to see a doctor and they said it was nothing to worry about - but of course I’m stressing about because it’s still there and no signs of getting smaller. Has this ever happened to anyone ? Any information please.

It may be a lymph node and they can take ages to settle- give the GP a call again for reassurance

Could it be a cyst?

I get cystic acne behind my ears. When they’re ready to blow I go and hang out over at Sporners Corner…

Can you describe how and feels and where exactly behind the ear is it? Any other symptoms or just the lump?

Yes could easily be lymph node. Comes up when you had a cold etc then sometimes they never goes down, or is very slow to go down.
Trust what the doc says and be reassured.

It’s behind my ear - not on my ear - like on my neck. It’s round and hard.

Do you wear glasses? I can feel a lump where the arm goes behind my ear

I'd say not if your doctor checked it but if you're worried and it's not got smaller or went away I would go back to a different doc and tell them your concerns. I would always rather have reassurance than worrying for no reason

I have two lumps behind my ear on the bone, one below the other. They are movable and very small. I've had it for a very long time. I accidentally discovered them by feeling. the doctor said it was negligible. Does anyone have experience?

Hi I know this is an old thread but I have similar with a lump behind my ear on the bone wondering if yours is still there or resolved?
