Tampon issue

43, been using tampons for years with no issues. Last two periods (just come on today), I can't get them in. I do the usual manoeuvre for inserting them but the tampon doesn't come all the way out of the plastic inserter tube, even when I know I've pushed it the inner plastic bit as far as it can go. I tried three in a row - same problem. What is going on?! Has anyone had this??

Is there any possibility that you forgot to remove the last one?

I'd have thought you'd know about it by now if you had given it's been 2 periods but worth considering.

Have you checked the tampons you're using aren't a dud batch with applicators that don't work?

Try again with a light flow non-applicator tampon and see if that helps - go back to basics on insertion ie squat or one foot up on the bath.

I'm pretty sure not, as I was worried about that last time and had a good ferret about up there ha.

Last time, I could get a lighter flow applicator tampon in but I need to heavier flow ones for days 1 and 2. No idea what is going on. I wonder about it being a dud batch as you say - I can't be sure if it is different batches or not.

Take one of the tampons from the box you've been having an issue with and try pushing through the applicator without inserting it - does it work properly?

I've got a bit of a prolapse and sometimes it feels like there's something blocking access, if you see what I mean? If I shift position if feels easier. Any chance it's something like that?

It doesn't feel like anything is blocking it - it just doesn't come fully out of the applicator. Almost but not quite. A yellow one works fine - just the green ones won't. I do wonder if it's the batch.
