Are they massive everywhere? I've had a referral through - have a diagnosis from a private hospital which NHS sent me to - and just for the appointment (not the op) it's a full year wait Sad

I had a baby in Jan and was referred to a urogynae in feb, had a first appointment at the end of April and haven't seen him since!! I keep getting texts saying I'm on a waiting list for a follow up appointment and do I still want to wait?! Obviously!! Very frustrating. I don't think I'll get to see anyone anytime soon 🤦‍♀️😩🙄

I was referred in August and seen late September for initial appointment.

It took me four years to get from initial appointment to the hysterectomy waiting list. There were a lot of hoops to jump through and a long wait between each hoop. I was told that the waiting list is 18 months, once on the list. In the end I had to go private - I couldn’t afford not to as I was in the verge of having to give up my career due to my health issues (combination of the gynae problem and crashing mental health it caused).

I got an appointment for Feb next year but was also put on the cancellation list and they rang me today with an appointment tomorrow so maybe check if you're on that too? Apparently referrals get triaged with the consultant at our hospital and appointment allocated from their paper assessment

I've said I will go to any hospital
I've been seen at Spire but the op/plan needs a bowel surgeon which they don't have
Significant pelvic endometriosis with endometriomas on ovaries and kissing ovaries

If you have an appointment booked it might be worth having a look on the appointments section of the NHS app, if you try and reschedule there is often appointments sooner than when you are initially booked in.

Really long waiting lists here. I was referred in April. I phoned earlier this week to see what was happening with it and was told they are still dealing with referrals from 2022.
