I seem to have been unwell for months, persistent dry coughs, then Covid, then more cough. I have spinal stenosis, sciatica, have had 2 surgeries on my back and for the last week pretty bad neck pain. I ended up in A&E a few weeks back for racing pulse, feeling weak, extreme fatigue. I had a CT scan and was told I've scarring on my lungs from Covid and Long Covid. ECGs were fine (they did it twice) and bloods all ok. Still get the racing pulse now and again but it has improved.
I'm 48. I'm very overweight and losing the fitness I did have as I just have zero energy these days. I'm struggling at work and asleep by 7.30pm. I've always been a light sleeper but now a bomb could go off and I'd not wake.
I'm taking a multivitamin and know menopause is also around the corner. Every time I get sick now I feel like my time is up and I'm gonna die. The neck pain feels like the last straw. Yesterday, I felt so fed up, I'd all but convinced myself that I'd somehow broken my neck and that's why it's hurting. Much more likely just a neck strain from handbag/screen use, etc and it has improved over the weekend as I made an effort to avoid those scenarios. I've booked a physio for next week just in case.
