Hi,

my child developed this rash last night all over her elbows, feet & bottom area. We saw the Doctor today and they said it wasn’t meningitis rash, however I’m still not satisfied to what it is. I was told it’s a Non Specific Viral Rash. It just looks so sore but my child is generally well in herself, currently has Tonsillitis & had high temperature for 3 days prior to this rash.

How is she now? My toddler has the same rash but no other symptoms been getting worse for a few weeks

Shopperholic2023 · 07/11/2023 20:09

Tonsillitis is much better now. Rash has got worse on one of the arms but seems to look better on the other. The A&E Dr confirmed its HSP Disease which goes away on its own. Need to keep up with Ibuprofen for joint pain which she had quiet abit over the weekend.

thank you for taking the time out to ask.

have you got your Toddlers rash checked out?

Glad she’s feeling better! Gp has done a referral for paediatrician nobody knew what the rash is but looks similar to that, not so much like general photos of Hsp though. At the moment it’s her knees, elbows and knuckles seems to be affecting all her joints. So hard when you have to investigate and dont know what’s wrong with our little ones.

Does this look similar?

Aww I’m so sorry your LO is having to go through this.
I don’t feel it’s HSP as that’s more purple. I’ll attach a picture below for you to see. Also from the day the spots/rash starts it goes go from pink to purple quiet quickly (within 24hrs) in our case.
