Aktiia wrist blood pressure monitor

I keep seeing ads for this. It’s quite a hefty price at £199. Has anyone tried it?

hate having my BP taken and it always seems to hurt my upper arm even when I do it (after a few days of several readings a day).

I wondered if this could be an alternative.

Not an expert, but I thought the wrist ones are inaccurate?

Apparently they are accurate if used properly. It’s worn continuously like a watch.

I had a wrist cuff as opposed to an upper arm one previously but you have to position it exactly right.

I'd say wrist isn't accurate and nobody needs to spend £200 on a BP monitor! Maybe you need a larger arm cuff.

I found a wrist BP monitor to be wildly inaccurate

@DoughnutDreams

Thanks for your advice! My arm is normal sized - it just seems sensitive for some reason, whether it’s me taking it or the nurse.

Is your BP high? The higher it is the tighter the band squeezes. Wrist ones aren't advised,I asked at the hospital.
