Do you wake up feeling well rested?

I am constantly tired. Bloody always. I wake up in the morning feeling like I haven't slept well, even if I probably have. I spend a lot of time wishing I could have a nap.
I'm like a cat and could probably sleep anywhere at any time.

So I just wondered; do you feel like you've had adequate sleep and a good amount of energy? Or will I forever feel like a permanently exhausted pigeon 🫠

I had a problem with this for years, I found out I had an under active thyroid, then I went into menopause, treatment helped it a bit but then I thought about low iron, so I’ve been taking an iron liquid supplement for over a month and it does seem to help with less fatigue.

I remember the last time I did. It was September 2013, I was alone in a superking hotel bed and I’d just had ten hours sleep.

Sigh…

Now I can’t sleep before midnight, wake at 3 or 4am needing the toilet, go back to sleep for a couple of hrs then get up at 6/7 feeling tired angry and achy all over.

10-15y so this was part of menopause for me. HRT sorted it out for 10y, but it's back. This time it's part of Long Covid.

😩

Not since 1994

I work nights so my sleep pattern is up shit creek. Also menopausal doesn't help either. Wake up still feeling tired on my nights off.

Not since I was about 8 years old. I constantly feel exhausted. I’ve had all manner of tests done over the years, and they’ve not established a cause.

Well I'm kind of pleased it's not just me! But also sucks that you all struggle to feel rested too!

I don't know what else I can try to be honest!

Even with zero kids, fresh bedding, bathed with shaved legs etc, a cold room I still don't feel like I slept 'well'

Maybe that's me for life! Looking forward to the next potentially 50 years or so of this haha

This is going to sound awful, but yes, since DH died and I have the bed to myself I do. I never did before.

Kind of, I wake up tired but a different kind of tired to how you feel at the end of a long day. I have to move to wake up fully. I've gotten into doing exercises in the morning to help with that, classes and occasionally a park run, because it's a lot harder solo. Online zoom based classes seem to work, I tried a couple recently. Has to be live tho, recorded stuff doesn't work

I always feel strange in a morning, I don't wake up tired as such but I feel like I haven't slept. I have vivid dreams every single night all night long so I feel like I haven't slept because my brain hasn't switched off.

It's weird my DP hardly ever dreams but I never get a break from them.
