Low platelets

What can cause slightly low platelets? The person concerned has had some ongoing intermittent stomach issues, and also has slightly low thyroid.

Anyone?

Hi, look up "causes of Thrombocytopenia in adults". That is another word for low platelet count.

BTW I had it when I got the H. Pylori infection which is a stomach related issue. I'm fine again now.

How low are they?

Mine hover around the 120-130 mark and it's considered low but not low enough for any intervention. My doctor told me as long as they are consistent and don't get any lower it's fine. Some people just have naturally lower amounts.
