Hello, I had an examination for a breast lump a couple weeks ago and I am referred for an ultrasound tomorrow.

This may sound silly but I’m worried that they won’t do a biopsy. I really want one so I can rule everything out. Rather than them say you’re young so unlikely to be this etc .

has anyone ever requested a biopsy during their ultrasound? if so how did you ask? I don’t want to come across rude like I’m saying their judgement isn’t right.

Thank you sorry I’m im coming across erratic I’m just slightly worried about everything :(

Oh bless you, I had a recall a few months ago. As well as an ultrasound, they might take a bunch more x-rays, and will then look closely at those results and explain them to you. They will then decide whether it is something that needs to have a biopsy taken, but they really are so kind so do talk to them about how you feel.

When dd went for ultrasound they biopsied it there and then. They said they do that to all ladies over 25. Dd was 25.
