Sugar alternatives

I drink quite a lot of tea, with 1 sugar.

I've had some dental issues recently and my dentist really reiterated how bad the sugar in my tea is.

I hate the taste or sweetener, as well as the taste of sugar with no tea.

Can anyone recommend a sugar alternative, that I can use in my tea?

I reduced my sugar by a quarter of a spoon until I was drinking it without.

I drink tea with one sugar and have never found an alternative. Tea without sugar is drinkable but ‘a different drink’. I have reduced my tea down to one a day and gradually built up a set of other sugar free drinks I like (mainly herbal teas, some with a bit of sweetness taste in them but no sugar eg pukka do a chamomile with manuka honey).

If you are purely worried about the impact on teeth you could eat something like cheese after to help balance the pH and increase saliva. The best option long term though for health would be to gradually wean yourself off sugar.
