Positive stories about itchy mole - scared

I've a mole on my arm which I noticed is a bit more itchy than it used to be. I think it's more red now too. Was pale brown but now a bit redder and more raised. I'll get it checked but have awful health anxiety and my heart is racing. Can you give me your positive stories please ?

It looks nice and round, not ragged at the edges. But yes, if it’s worrying you get it checked.

I would def get it checked as that’s the only way you will feel more settled about it even tho the thought of going probably makes you feel even more anxious. I saw my GP about a mole I was worried about- 2 colours and seemed redder than normal. She has looked at it twice at different periods under a special device and taken photos, discussed it with her colleagues and isn’t concerned- she suspected the redness was because I had knocked it. I’m due to go back again after 3 months for her to check it one last time. Don’t fear the worst altho I know that’s easier said than done.

I went with an itchy mole on my tummy, they were very thorough in an examination and I now go back to have all my moles checked every 3 years, but there was no cause for concern.

I had a really nasty looking one, left an inch long scar, that was 23 years ago. The histology came back fine.
Always wise to get any you are worried about checked.
