How do I get these horrible tonsils out?

Absolutely had enough of my daughters tonsils. We are on our 5th lot of antibiotics. She's had it 3 times since September. Her school attendance is hovering around 40%. I want them GONE!
Docs won't refer her till she's had it 8 times in 12 months. If I pay for a private consultation can they add me to the NHS wait list, or will I need to pay for the operation too? Parents who have navigated this, HELP!
My life just revolves around these pointless balls.
