Hi, looking for some reassurance please. My husband had an accident at work, 11 days ago. A 20 tonne excavator hit him on the head! He went to hospital, was kept in for 5 nights but MRIs and CT scans are OK, thank goodness! He obviously has concussion, but we weren't told much about what to expect. His symptoms now are : Feeling dizzy all the time.
Foggy head.
Thumping sore head.
Clicking in his ears.
Can't walk very far - feels like he is walking
on clouds.
Is this normal?
Today I called our GP for reassurance for them to tell me I had to call A & E as they can't deal with it. Called A & E, they told me to contact GP. So I'm just going round in circles!
Anyone have any knowledge on concussions? My DH is never ill so is thinking the worst!

you need to go to a and e and be rechecked. This is an emergency related condition and needs to be treated as such

I second returning to A&E just to make sure there's no bleeding happening. However post concussion syndrome, which this sounds like it could, can last for months, in the worst case scenarios. I've had it after horse riding accidents, your husband has my sympathy and I hope in his case it clears up quickly.
