Sorry tmi if anyone is abit sqeemish, so I've had these lumps for a long time and it's only been a few months were I'm getting so many problems, they are itchy, they hurt like hell, 2 are purple in colour and the other two are skin coloured the skin coloured are the painful ones, I've been putting ointment on and also cream for thrush, nothing is helping, when I sit it's a constant irritation, it kicks off in the morning and night mostly, I have to dab when I'm wiping because it's quite unbearable, there's been no bleeding apart from one of the purple lumps that had burst a little..

Anyone know what they could be before I seek medical assistance, I've been doing at home remidies before seeking help and so far no reprevel I'm just tired of it all now :(

I would make an appointment to see your dr, they've probably seen these multiple times.

dementedpixie · 21/10/2023 21:20

Sounds like it could be. See a gp anyway just to get it confirmed

Meanzbeanz33 · 21/10/2023 21:23

@Takeitonthechin I'll be making an appointment I can't take it anymore, I'm not embarrassed just need a little assistance in whether it's hemorrhoid or something else the Internet is telling me all sorts 🥴

Those are almost certainly hemorrhoids. Try 1% hydrocortisone cream (I think you can buy that over the counter in the uk). It's the only thing that works and it really works well. I also highly recommend getting a bidet attachment for your toilet (the kind that attaches under the toilet seat with just cold water and non-electric are pretty cheap).....it's much less abrasive than toilet paper.

Meanzbeanz33 · 21/10/2023 21:37

@SofiaAmes can they be painful too? Because I've developed painful ones today, I'll have a look into a bidget it sounds really soothing, need some soothing, the 1% hydrocortisone is that equivalent to anusol? Because that's what I have atm, doesn't seem to be doing anything 😏

Anusol does not have hydrocortisone in it.
Yes they can be painful
There might be other creams you can try which is why it might be wise to see a gp

dementedpixie · 21/10/2023 21:41

You do get a version of anusol with hydrocortisone so it depends which one you have

SJR86 · 21/10/2023 21:48

Might also be worth trying a different brand of haemorrhoid ointment. I found Anusol did nothing for mine but have more success with Germoloids. I also seem to find the suppositories more effective too.

Meanzbeanz33 · 21/10/2023 21:48

@dementedpixie I've just checked nope it doesn't contain hydrocortisone so that'll explain why its not working, I'll buy the right one 😅 hopefully things get better if not im seeing my GP I'd rather try over the counters first before seeking medical help

Meanzbeanz33 · 21/10/2023 22:02

@SJR86 i will give germaloid a go because anusol is doing nothing plus it doesn't have hydrocortisone in so it's literally a cream to soothe the itch

Get the Anusol suppositories.
If there's no improvement go to the GP and you'll get prescription steroid suppositories.
Don't be in pain, take action.

SofiaAmes · 22/10/2023 07:01

Yes, they can be painful. Think blood blister kind of painful. And don't have a heart attack when one bursts and there is bright red blood everywhere.

You don't necessarily need the suppositories....just apply hydrocortisone cream on the external ones and it will shrink them right down. Note: I had mine for years before someone (not a doctor) told me the hydrocortisone trick.
I can see it at Boots
