Hearing aids making ears sore, what can help?

For my mother in law. She’s just got nhs hearing aids and they are amazing!
but her ear is sore over the top where the device sits and pulls her ear forward. And where it goes in.
has anyone found some thing that works? I suggested Vaseline but that’s slippy. Thank you

Has she got moulds or domes?

If moulds, then some otoferm cream might help - put a thin layer on the mould and then insert. I don't think this will work if she has domes, though.

If it is rubbjng behind her ear then she might need to go to her local hearing aid clinic and get the length of the tubes adjusted, as they might be a bit short. Or if she has domes, she might need a longer fitting piece.

I used to wear hearing aids when I was younger
If it is rubbing the top of her ear it does sound like the tubes are much short
The audiologist should be able to helps

I agree, sounds like the tube needs adjusting
