Good cold sore medication?

My OH occasionally has cold sores and recently used some Lypsyl cold sore gel they have had for ages. Really happy to find it worked brilliantly so I said I would order some more only to find it has been discontinued.

Does anybody have a product they would recommend?

I bought a German brand once when over there which was amazing, will try find it and post for you. Also lysine tablets!

Perfume works really well too!

Stings a bit, granted, but really effective.

I have suffered with these occasional blighters all my life.
