I have really shitty periods. The pain is just about manageable but I get terrible dizziness and nausea.
I use paracetamol and ibuprofen for the pain. I used to take co-codamol but I'm going to stop in case co-codamol was contributing to the nausea.
I've been recommended iron tablets in case the issues are caused by anemia. Should I be taking them all the time? Or just for a time around my period week?
I've also been reading that Vitamin D tablets can really help with period trouble. Does anyone have experience of this? And, again, ought I to be taking Vitamin D all the time or just around my period time?
Are there other supplements that you would recommend?
I want to try managing things with supplements before I talk to the doctor about what might be going on.
