Hip Pain

Woke up early hours with hip pain in left hip, this has continued through night and I knowbhave pain from front of left hip all around side into lower back. The pain is always there but seem to come in waves of stronger pain. Am trying hot water bottle and ibuprofen to try and ease it but its not touching it. Any ideas what it could be?

I don't know but I have something similar with my right hip. The pain is coming from the back of pelvis (sacroiliac I tnink) around the side of the hip and down the front of my thigh. I'm just in the middle of trying to get a physio appointment.

As it’s such a quick onset I’d consider infection in the joint, or have you knocked it, so could be a fracture.
A friend of mine simply bumped her hip on a piece of furniture and fractured it.

Any chance you overstretched or bashed or over-used (exercise) that area? What physical things did you do yesterday?
