Tested positive for covid almost 3 weeks ago after going to a&e with chest pain (they tested me).
Felt fine a few days later and presumed it was over
A Few days later I developed a productive cough with lots of yellow/green stuff coming up. And a lot of sinus congestion (again, yellow/green) still not gone. I also have diarreah (sp) I can’t breathe without wheezing and I constantly need to cough up whatever is on my chest. Feels like I’m slowly drowning!
I’m still managing to work so can’t be that bad.
Do I need antibiotics or will they not be effective with it being viral rather than bacterial?
I just want to sleep 😅

Tested positive about 3 weeks ago and have been negative for about 10 days but after a couple of days feeling better I'm back to feeling as bad as when I was positive. Ridiculously tired, headache and sore mouth and throat along with a very irritating cough .

Covid seems to affect the immune system so you're more susceptible to infections afterwards - I've had a secondary infection (chest/eat/throat) every time I've had it.

I would contact the GP to request they listen to your chest - then they can decide if you need antibiotics.
