Any one that's experienced sinusitis?

So not sure really if this is sinusitis or not but I've had a google and good old google has basically told me it's the end 🤦🏻‍♀️😂.

Picture from google as I didn't take one.
But I've just been bathing one of the dogs when my nose started dripping this weird coloured fluid. Happened a few times then stopped and now it's just happened again about an hour later.

I've recently just had really bad cold/flu symptoms, so wondering if this could be sinusitis or nothing to be worried about?

Don't want to go waste the gps time if its nothing.

Any one that's experienced sinusitis?

Nasal discharge does not mean sinusitis, it can just be indicative of an upper respiratory infection.
Telltale signs of sinusitis:

  • pain in your face when you bend over
  • pain when you press your eyebrows
  • pain when you press your cheeks on either side of your nose

@LapinR0se no pain now but I did have sinus pain on that same side it's leaked from last week with cold/flu

Possibly sinusitis then. Do you have a temp?

GarlicGrace · 16/10/2023 19:22

I'd say wait and see. Bodies exude fluids, and the transition from cold outside to steamy & warm inside is a classic condition for snot release 😆

Sinusitis hurts like hell. If you've got it, you'll know it - and will need to do steam inhalations to release more of the crap (lovely!)

If Google has persuaded you it's brain fluid - that's very unlikely. Maybe start worrying if you develop a monstrous headache at the back of your head, have a seizure or pass out for no reason.

@GarlicGrace haha that's exactly what google has said!!
All results bar a few Reddit ones where brain fluid!

@LapinR0se no, no temperature. Tastes a bit funny but other than that nothing.

Ok I would go to the chemist and buy a very good high pressure saline nasal spray. Then you need to spray the bejeezus out of your sinuses. Tilt your head to the side and get all that saline goodness in there. Blowwwww your nose and get all the goop out. If it’s still gross after two days of doing saline spray 3 x per day then go to chemist.
