I would like to make a complaint about a specific member of staff I encountered at a hospital several months ago who had an abysmal attitude and has quite frankly left me feeling really traumatised by the whole experience. All other staff other than this one particular person were fab and had a great bedside manner.
I am thinking about feeding this back to the hospital but is there any point and what would be done? I guess in terms of what I am looking for, I would just like for my feedback to be passed on and ideally for this person to be given some sort of training or process to bring this to their attention so that it is made clear it is not acceptable to treat people this way?
But would this actually happen - does PALS take forward specific complaints about staff which relate to attitude rather than competency?

Absolutely yes. At the very least they would use it to build a bigger picture. If you found reason to complain then it's probable others have too.
