Breast lump

Hi, I found a lump in one of my breasts and went to the GP. An ‘urgent’ referral was made to the breast clinic 2 months ago and still haven’t heard anything! Does anyone know how long referrals usually take? Im in Northern Ireland for reference.

i am only 23, the lump is hard but does move so i’m inclined to believe its just a cyst or something but its still a little worrying not knowing for sure

Do you not have the two week rule, like in England ?

Should be under 2 week wait rule. I'd get back in touch with GP on mon OP

In England, you get referred urgently under the two week rule and have to be contacted within that time.

I would chase it up with a two prong attack. Firstly, contact the gp to check the referral was actually done and sent off, and secondly, contact the med sec at your local hospital to check they’ve received it and when you are going to get seen.
