Leg pains

I am just hoping someone might have had similar and might he able to offer some ideas.
I have been waiting for private medical cover to kick in and now I have that I am just seeing if anyone has any ideas!
For a while my leg has hurt. It gets worse at night and also sore if I drive a long distance. The whole leg aches but especially my shins although interestingly not when I'm moving.
I have had varicose veins in the past so saw the vein man again and he said the veins were ok.
I am 45. It could be age, muscular, restless legs, something else.
Anyone had similar?

For me it was low iron, ask for a blood test.

Do you exercise ? I’m thinking shin splints.

I do exercise (a slow run) but they don't hurt which I thought they would do then.
I did have a blood test but never heard back. I'll chase today. Historically always had great iron levels.
