What's biting dd in the cot?

DD has been waking with 1 or 2 little red marks on her face and arms. They look like bites as they have a whitish centre. There can't possibly be fleas or we'd all be bitten. It's a small spartan room without carpet and bedding changed regularly.
Could it be bed bugs, or spiders, or mosquitos, or fleas, or any other ideas?

I've had that this week, I caught a gnat red handed, could it be that?

Flea bites are little red patches with a white hole type thing in the middle.

When our cat had fleas a couple of years ago, they only bit DS1, DH and I never got one bite, poor little DS1 was covered in them (well, had about 4!)

Get a wet tissue/kitchen roll/cotton wool, rub it under the fur of your cat's neck and back, if there are little black things that turn red in the wetness of the tissue, you have fleas I'm afraid.

Get some Acclaim from the vets, is about £13 IIRC, for a can that should cover an average size 3 bed house, it works though.

oh puffling my dd (5) had this. on both sides of her hips. i ahve no idea what it is. she got it around the same time as she had headlice (which i swiftly eradicated)

i dont know if it was a co-incidence or not

yes if have contact with other children. My ds had them at 6months, only found 1 or 2 and no eggs but still treated him. cringe, as he had got them from xdsd and her sisters. Easily treated though. I used hedrin on him and worked a treat.
