Waking up by pain every morning - severe dull but radiating mid back muscle pain all over, feel as stiff as a board and can barely roll myself over it aches so much . If I get out of bed the pain will lessen and then fade away within 1-2 hours. This has been going on a long time, started approx 7 years ago but was glute area pain on waking up, its moved higher now and much more painful than it used to be.
Painful feet when I get out of bed in the morning. Feet hit the ground and when I walk the bones across the top feel tingly. Not underneath my foot or on the heel, and not the same pain you’d get from plantar fascitis. This pain fades after 5 mins of walking about.
Sore knees and sometimes random twinges of pain on the bony on the outer knee.
Glute pain developing during the day, legs feel heavy and achy, hips feel sore on both sides. Slight tingly type pain right under bum where it meets the top of thighs. Glute area and across bum is always sore to touch. Bony area down the side of hips sore to press on both sides.
Sometimes I also wake up with stiff, clenched fingers but not every day and I’m not sure if this is just how I sleep. I do have a lot of vivid dreams and might be clenching my hands in my sleep 😆
The pain on waking happens in any bed I sleep in and is long term so I don’t believe it’s mattress related.
I have seen my GP and had full blood tests very recently which were all in normal range. I have been referred to Rhematology and have an appointment in a few weeks. I have since found out there is a history of autoimmune problems in my family (parent and grandparent) so I will mention that when I have the appointment.
I just don’t know what can be wrong. Surely it cannot be normal to wake up in pain like this? I feel so old. I’m not overweight, I walk a lot, I’m healthy. I did develop high blood pressure a year ago out of nowhere and this is medicated as the GP said there was no reason why I should suddenly develop high BP.
