Ahh poor you, I had full hysterectomy on a few days ago was hoping I would wake up from the op feeling like I had a new body, but at least I had a few hours sleep without waking up, the first in over 2 years. Constant night sweats, feeling hot constantly, no let up and feel like I have been kicked by a horse. I feel your pain

Sorry to hear, OP. I’m four weeks post TAH and BSO. The first couple of weeks weren’t great but I did feel a noticeable improvement every day, to the point where I was even thinking of booking a holiday in November. But I can’t feel much improvement at all over the last couple of weeks and can’t see that I’m going to be returning to work after 6 weeks as I’d thought I would. Still lots of weird and scary pains inside (sharp, stinging and pulling pains) and swelling if I do much at all, and I need a nap every afternoon.

Do you think you might need to up the HRT? I was put on Evorel 50 patches which would be the equivalent of two pumps of Estrogel. One pump is a low dose, isn’t it?

OP l would say you definitely need to incease your Estrogel, one pump is a very low dose. It would certainly help with the aches, low mood and memory loss.

Sorry you feel bad.. those feelings do pass but it took me a good 7 weeks .. even today had a busy day and swelling started by teatime.. I think we try to do too much. I was fit and active and did too much too soon. Go easy on yourself. I have upped my gel last couple of days and feel less teary and achy

Thanks, I have now doubled the dose and it definitely helped
Less teary last few days
