Toothache/antibiotics

So I was at the dentist Saturday night found ihave a infection over 2 teeth didn't manage to get antibiotics till Sunday I have 5 days worth of 3 times a day

Anyway my question is when should the pain subside its not massively painful like It was before the dentist however it is a little tender still I am dueto go back to the dentist in 3 weeks he said to have said teeth extracted

if the pain has subsided a bit then it’s working. Mine lasted as long as the antibiotics did but then continued to abate after as well.
