No, but you can catch chickenpox if you've not had it before.

If you've had chickenpox, then being around your godson is a good thing and will boost your immunity against shingles

No. If anything, him having chickenpox would stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies, making it even less likely that you would develop shingles.

Shingles is when you’ve had chicken pox yourself before and it reactivates itself within your body (because your immune system is stressed).

You can’t catch shingles.

Have you had chicken pox before? If not you could catch that.

No. Have look at the NHS website. It explains shingles and chickenpox very clearly.

You can get chickenpox from shingles but not shingles from chickenpox. You can only develop shingles if you've had chickenpox in the past as it's a reactivation of the chickenpox virus.

Yes - sorry, should've said that. I had chickenpox when I was 14 at the same time as having tonsillitis. I had chickenpox on my tonsils...
