in need of some advice. I had an emergency appointment 3 weeks ago for a throbbing tooth where they told me I needed a root canal. So the dentist put a dressing over it with some antibiotics, however my root canal appointment isn't until late December. I was pretty worried but they assured me that my tooth will be fine for the next few months but I've noticed the dressing is fading (read they're only meant to last 2-3 weeks?) and am getting random days where I can't eat on the side with the dead tooth. Going private will cost £800 which I can take out of my savings but then is it worth it if it then fails anyway. Has anyone had experience going private or NHS for root canals? Thanks!!
