Persistent cough when speaking

I have had a cough on the back of a cold since early sept. I don't recall coughing a lot during the 'cold' didn't test for covid, but have had one since then.

It is dry and ticklish and generally only occurs if I speak. Although can happen at other times but not when asleep.

I seem to be getting food up my nose when I eat too, as if soemthibg in that area is not functioning properly.

I feel also as if I've pulled muscles on my back from coughing and a shoulder blade hurts.

Eating and drinking actually help stop the cough.

I'm taking ezomemprazole in case it's acid reflux, antistamine in case it's an allergy and also use a saline spray. Nothing is working.

Been to Dr who did cursory chest checks etc and siad he couldn't hear anything. He's now referred me to chest specialist

Anyone had similar?
