Your poor dad, C Diff is pretty awful

Read this, it's not too scary and tells you a bit more about it.

If he is generally well it shouldn't do him any long term harm. Hope he's better soon.

I was a Hca and saw lots of people with C.Dif, I know the media portray it as a superbug etc, but for most people it just means really stinky liquid poo for awhile.

Most people got over it fairly quickly and were discharged, the only people who are badly affected are those that are already seriously ill.

As long as your Father is adequately hydrated it should pass fairly quickly, it was fairly commonplace and not a huge deal on the ward that I worked on. Hth.
