I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience to me? Have posted the below on an older thread - but thought best I start my own:
Post meno was taking HRT without progesterone for a year - scan showed thickened womb at 6mm. Subsequent hysteroscopy and biopsy was clear.
Have since taken oral prog alongside my oestrogen patch for the past year.
That was last year.
Recent bleeding (v little - just spotting) so GP ref via 2WW for a TVS which I had on Fri and showed that lining had grown to 11cm in past year. GP surgery called me same day to book appointment (this Wed) to discuss results.
I suspect I will need to have another hysteroscopy and biopsy.
Anyone know why GP needs to see me though? My mother died at 62 in a matter of weeks after being diagnosed with end stage ovarian cancer. Radiographer said my ovaries were ‘fine’ - but my Mums scan didn’t show anything on the ovaries.
And is anyone able to comment on the growth of womb lining from 6 to 11 mm in a year (whilst on oral prog)?
I understand that I am probably catastrophising but looking to kill time between procedures / results with other who are going through something similar right now. Or have been through this process and can share their wisdom.
