AF was due on Tuesday, but not there yet. I had my last period on 5th Feb, and before that had very short cycles (two weeks) due to starting and stopping the minipill (from October/November last year). Before starting on the minipill i used to be regular as clockwork, 28-day cycles, and thought i was back on that.
Am due at GP tomorrow to insert a mirena coil, but they will only do this once pregnancy has been excluded (i.e in first 8 days of cycle).

When do I start worrying that i might be pregnant? We have been careful. And would it be too early now to test? Dh and I just decided two is enough...

You can get ultra early pregnancy tests that measure as little as 10 (what ever the measure is of pregnancy hormone). I got a regular one from sainsburrys and that measures from 25. I guess that you just have to explain to the doctor about your current situation and even if there is a small chance he may choose to re shedule you in. Better to wait for your period i say and then get booked in when you know for sure. Some times i've been a bit late by a couple of days and if ur thinking about it, even if it's cos of having youe coil in, then that might have caused it to be delayed. i recon you should have anice relaxing soak in the bath so your totally relaxed, good luck!

thanks for your reply AF (giggle about your nick)! still nothing here, but feeling nauseous, have slightly runny bowel movements (sorry TMI), have gone off coffee and alcohol, and feel bloated, feel exactly like i felt in those first weeks with ds1 and ds2. i did a test today, and dh bought some folic acid, just in case, but the test was negative.
i'll just test again in a couple of days (clever dh bought two tests).

Did you go the doc? If so what did he do or say? You might be or it might be your body and mind playing tricks on you...! It's very clever. Sorry i find the idea of pregnancy so exciting at the mo as I can't wait to have another myself and my friends pregnant too. I'm sure I won't be so excited when the pregnancy symptoms kick in...;-( I couldn't imagine my husband buying me tests. He's a long way to go yet... Where abouts in the world do you live and how old are your other 2? I'm West Oxford and my Daughters just turned 1.

Hi again
it's my birthday today and guess who came? yes.., my dearest aunty!

although relieved, i am also a little disapointed. ds1 is 4y3mo and ds2 is 2y3mo, they have been carrying around a doll all weekend saying she's their little baby sister (didn't say anything to them, but then again, ds1 told me he was going to have a brother when i was only about 2 months pregnant, somehow they "feel" things like that..). and it would have been so lovely: a cute little girl. not sure how i would have coped with a 3rd boy though ... now it's sort of convenient to share 50:50 with dh, he takes one and i the other, but what would we do with the 3rd??? and then again, girls aren't always cute and quiet either...

you're so right on the cleverness of our bodies: i am sooooo~o psychosomatic... i am the kind of person who can't watch a programme about ants without starting to itch all over... that's probably the reason why my period started just AFTER i had taken the pregnancy test, and why i had all those pregnancy symptoms. you're so right: having friends and colleagues have babies/be pregnant aroudn does make me very broody.

anyways, thanks for you support!
we're in cambridge BTW, so in a way rivals...
