Sore scalp on the top of my head

I've always had a sore area on my scalp, as in if I press gently it hurts a little. Nowhere else on my scalp feels like that.

It's at that point on the top /back of my scalp that my hair naturally falls away from (ie to the side, back or front) iyswim. I have wondered whether the weight of your hair can pull slightly on your scalp (this would be the area with the longest hair). As I write this I realise how daft I must sound, especially as I'm not blessed with thick hair! It is chin length.

I know this probably sounds over-anxious but I'm interested in whether others have anything like this. I've had a few skin cancers on my face so I am always alert to things that might not be right though there is no lump or anything, just a soreness if I press.

When this happened to me it was sunburn.

Thanks @Whomeugly. I have wondered about that previously as I have very fair skin. But it is always like this do I don't think sunburn is the answer.

I just got DP to take a look - he says it is pink but not noticeably more than anywhere else on my scalp.

There’s definitely a few pressure points on the head that can feel super sensitive at times.
