Diverticulitis

Been having problems with a lot of constipation and diarrhea. I do have diverticulosis. Could this be a flareup? Been getting a lot of gas and sometimes pain on lower right and will change to lower left side. Pain is mild and comes and goes

DH has diverticulitis also, the inflamed area is on his left side and that’s where he gets pain. When he has a flare up, he’s been told to go low fibre, white bread, pasta and rice until flare up has passed, usually 4/7 days, then he can go back on a high fibre diet.
