Just caught this in the mirror whilst moisturising. It looks like a basal cell carcinoma to me now I’ve googled but difficult to get a good picture. Ive tried to sharpen the image. Anyone got an idea?

Just make an appointment with the GP!! How can anyone diagnose you on the internet.

LuluBlakey1 · 05/10/2023 22:50

No idea but just go and get it looked at. If it is they are very treatable.

Sailinguptosea123 · 05/10/2023 22:51

@Nightmanagerfan I am going to but it is currently late at night and just wanted an opinion.

looks like an insect bite to me, but as others have said, get it properly looked at

Sailinguptosea123 · 05/10/2023 22:53

It's impossible to say from this photo. I'd guess no, but it might be. The inflammation surrounding it makes it look more like a spot or bite to me.

Any idea how long it's been there? I know you've only just seen it but have you noticed it being sore or itchy or anything before?

Sailinguptosea123 · 05/10/2023 23:03

@zozueme thankyou. I have no clue I have never seen it before but don’t usually see that part of my body. Its not itchy or sore but I agree it looks inflamed.

It could be anything. Does it hurt? How long has it been there?

You need a GP to review it. You could also go to the pharmacist in the morning for a first opinion.

Looks like where your bra rubs and the scab is getting bigger with each rub.

sillyuniforms · 05/10/2023 23:13

I've just had similar. Told nothing to worry about & given cream by GP

Sailinguptosea123 · 05/10/2023 23:16

Thankyou everyone, hopefully it is something less sinister. I will speak to the gp and update the thread.
