Infected Blister

My boots gave me a huge blister on my heel the other day, and infact rubbed the skin right off the top half.

I left the skin on that it didn't rub off and while the top half healed, the bottom had sealed and was rather painful this morning.

I poked at it and discovered it had got infected... lurverly.

I've drained it and took the skin off to stop it refilling and stuck a plaster over it, but it HURTS.

Is their anyway i can make sure the infection doesn't come back?

you can get padded blister plaster that are suppose to help. They certainly make it easier to put shoes back on as they cushion it.
