UTI help

oistopthatyoucheekysnail · 03/10/2023 07:53

In the night I woke to a nasty UTI. I'm supposed to be out all day today and I'm so anxious about needing the toilet and staying adequately hydrated to try and flush it through when I won't have access to a toilet for about 4 hours.

Obviously, anyone that has had a uti knows that sense of urgency and relief that comes with sitting on a toilet!

Any tried and tested advice that can help me get through the day? I'm dosed up on paracetamol and ibrobrufen .

Sorry to hear this OP, UTIs can be so vile. I can highly recommend researching and buying a supplement called D Mannose if you haven’t already heard of it, for future flare ups/prevention. Plus if you can get to a Holland and Barrett today, they sell it and you should find it brings you some relief.

I’ve suffered with UTIs for approx 20 years and wish I’d discovered this stuff much sooner.

I get the Nature Supplies tablets from Amazon. It’s fantastic stuff. They also sell a powder too that you dilute in your drink.

Hope you start to feel much better soon.
