Basically, a very simple question - should I go ahead with it? I have blocked tear ducts, last winter it was a nightmare - constantly had tears streaming down my face, its annoying, unpleasant and embarrassing. Seen a few doctors, and in the end was offered to have this surgery at Moorfields in London (on the NHS). However, I thought it was a simple procedure but when it was explained to me I nearly fainted - general anaesthetic, they go through your nose and make a new tear channel, if it doesn't work they cut it outside leaving a small scar. The doctor I've seen told me they do hundreds of these each year, but I was freaked out and asked for some time to think. I have to tell them in a couple of weeks time if I want to ge ahead with it. I doubt I will have another chance to do it on the NHS (it was a bit of a miracle that I got there anyway) but I'm really scared tbh as its my face and eyes we are talking about. I need some advice to help me decide - maybe someone had it done - was it worth it? was it painful? any complications? Thanks!
