Dd1 has been complaining of feeling sick since yesterday morning and had a slight temp.

She is also very tired and not her normal self .

Please tell me this isn't how it starts

Wouldn't she of been sick by now if she started to feel ill yesterday ???

Sorry, but dd wasn't sick until three days after she started complaining of tummy ache. She's still ill 3 days later. Sounds like it might be the start of it to me.

Oh no!. Daughter complained last night of stomach ache and all day today. Must be true since missed her own Christams party and I missed mine.

Well Ive felt coldy/fluey since Sunday and today Ive woken up with griping tummy pains and liquid poo! followed later by barfing. Also was very pale and tired. Since the last bout of barfing though I do feel better and warmer and my cheeks are becoming pink again. My friend (and her entire family) had it over the last couple of weeks and she said it lasts 24hours

ChristmasCracker · 16/12/2004 18:45

Erm dunno i just hate it when we get a sickness bug. Coughs and colds i can deal with but if we all get it everything will go to pot and this close to xmas that will be a nightmare.

I hate them too!
A child in ds1's class threw up while they were watching tellie at school today, so I am praying that he does not come down with it.
I always end up catching them & cannot think of anything more horrible than the whole family puking over Christmas!

WigWamBam · 16/12/2004 19:18

Fio, my dd has had it since the weekend, has had violent diarrhoea and sickness, can't even keep water down, and spent most of Tuesday night having hallucinations. It's been pretty horrible for her.

TheHollyAndTheTwiglett · 16/12/2004 19:21

DS's started with early morning tummy ache .. no temp though

.. gave him a dose of phenergan (thanks to friend's advice) which helped amazingly

was right as rain today (lasted 3 horrible days

Tinker · 16/12/2004 19:23

But how long after complaining of not feeling well were they sick. Daughter has been asleep for most of day but not been sick yet. No real temp either.

WigWamBam · 16/12/2004 20:10

Tinker, my dd started complaining about tummy ache on Friday, had diarrhoea on Sunday, started vomiting on Monday night.

SantaFio2 · 16/12/2004 20:27

sorry i was not being arsey, its just kent news ismaking a big thing of i,....i am sure it is horrid, just wondered if it was more horrid than usual?

muminlondon · 16/12/2004 20:42

I think there's more about than usual and it's very infectious. It also spreads like wildfire in institutions and I think a hospital (in Kent?) has had to close down some wards because so many patients and staff have caught it (so there aren't enough staff to look after the patients). There was a case a couple of years ago of 400 passengers on a cruise ship all getting it and ports refusing to let the ship dock... can you imagine it...

WigWamBam · 16/12/2004 20:52

Didn't think you were being arsey, Fio ... . It's really horrid, the high temperature and hallucinations my dd had with it have been really awful.
