Sore finger

My middle finger on my right hand hurts all the time from the top knuckle to the tip. I can move it fine but if I use it to press a button or try to hold something in my fingers it hurts a lot.

I don't recall knocking it and it doesn't seem important enough to bother gp. It's been like it a few month. Anyone experienced similar?

Yes, I had this start last year and I thought it was resolve itself but I ended up going to the GP and then got referred to physio and they believed it was a trigger finger.
Had physio and steroid injections but it's still bad so now waiting on an osteopath appointment.
I'd go to the GP asap. They'll probably do blood tests at first (mine did). My GP also didn't have a clue about trigger finger- it was physio that diagnosed that, so maybe mention to the GP you think it might be trigger finger.

I hit mine and it went like this. Lasted MONTHS. Went away in the end though.
