ylalMy ds aged 3 has been prescribed antibiotic cream for his eyes. The cream makes his eyes sting and he is totally refusing to let me near him with it - generally screaming and crying. I have managed to get a bit in mid scream. I have tried bribery with chocolate . Even that did not work.

Getting desperate now as he has to have it 4 times a day poor little thing

Anybodys dc been prescribed oral antibiotics for this?

Oral antibiotics not useful at all.

Perhaps eye drops would be better than cream.

I feel for you as DD1 had this several times when she was younger. Unfortunately, the only treatment is either ointment or drops and both sting. We just had to hold her down, sounds awful but it had to be done. Sorry I don't have anything helpful.

try camomile teabags - like a cold compress on the eyes -
