How painful is a root canal extraction on upper molar

It's not painful, the dentist will use local anaesthetic to numb it before they start.

I didn’t find it any more painful than a filling, ie not at all bar the initial injection.
TBH the worst bit was having to sit. With my mouth open for 20 mins +

@Justmyviews does the tooth come out easily considering the roots are complex and in sinus cavity? I was told any root canal tooth that needs extraction is complex xx

I would go for sedation, I did most of my complex dental under it, didn’t feel a thing.

I fell asleep during mine!

It’s fine. You feel pressure but no pain. Just take it easy and don’t rush around afterwards as moving fast seems to make it bleed longer.

I had one in the lower molar but it was quite complex and the tooth ended up shattering. It took a while to get it all out but no pain during or after.

I had root canal and a crown. Less painful than a trip to my hygienist.

Not remotely painful. Just boring sitting there with my mouth open for so long. Didn't feel a thing though.
