Lump in hand - any ideas?

Can anyone help me with a lump that has appeared on my hand over the past few days? It’s in the inside of my wrist. It began with itching on Friday and then a red lump appeared on Sunday. It’s a bit itchy and was stinging a bit.

I haven’t noticed being bitten or stung. It’s not a burn but almost appears blister like. I only have one, no other rash or spots. No new perfume, skincare, washing powder etc.

any ideas? Should I be concerned?

Can you use a phone in magnifying mode (or a magnifying glass) to look for a sting entry point? My first thought is a sting or bite as it was red and itchy to start with. Could also be a ganglion but I don’t thing those itch typically.
is it better if you cool it down? Cool water for 5-10 mins?

Cool water doesn’t make much of a difference. It’s less itchy today but hadn’t changed in appearance. I’ve had look with a child’s magnifying glass and can’t make out any sort of puncture hole from a sting. I’m at a bit of a loss as to what it is so think I’ll give it until next week and if it’s still there I’ll do an online consult request with the GP surgery and see what they say.
