Hi,
I gave birth 3 months ago but have always had upset stomach’s for years prior (GP advised that it’s likely IBS) and have managed to go about my life with flare ups now and again.
Since having a baby I developed some piles and got treatment for them. I have been experiencing on and off bleeding when going to the toilet, some mixed in with my stool, more frequent upset stomach ache, pain/discomfort around my tailbone and buttock area. GP sent off 3 stool samples and did every blood test possible. Everything came back normal. Fecal calprotection was normal and not anaemic etc. The only stool test not done was the FIT test looking for hidden blood. I know I should feel reassured by this by I’m struggling to settle my mind there isn’t anything more serious or sinister going on. GP is very reassured by stool/blood tests that it’s nothing sinister like bowel cancer but I really am struggling to accept this with my ongoing symptoms. Is it very unlikely to be anything sinister if all these results were normal?
Just wondering if anyone can give me any advice/experiences?
Thank you 🙏
