Hi everyone, first time posting 🙋♀️I really need some advice. Last Thursday I started with what I suspected to be a uti,felt the constant urge to pee,was so effing horrible and uncomfortable,but no other symptoms ,so went to Superdrug and bought some of them powdered cystitis drinks,seemed to help. This is Wer I sound a dumb twat….just to be sure I’d get rid of this Uti I bought some antibiotics from an online pharmacy….I know I’m an idiot!! But I’ve been having trouble getting into my drs recently and I was just desperate to get rid. These came Saturday….took it straight away. The name trimethoprim rang a bell with me tho. An hour later I was on the toilet nearly dying,water coming out of my 🍑 and just feeling deathly sick. 2 hours I was in the bathroom,thankfully it passed. Went to lay on the sofa and just started to feel achey,flu achy,all down my legs and arms….just generally unwell. That night I kept getting a fever,bf said I looked bright red in my face and chest. Didnt bother with the next dose,this was making me feel like shit so binned them.Didn’t sleep well that night,just kept having random aching throughout my body,esp legs and arms. I just felt poisoned 😔Next day I couldn’t walk,my legs just kill,was worse if I stood still,was like a awful crampy pins and needles pain that becomes so unbearable I have to sit down Wer I’m stood for relief 😬 pain kept coming in waves all throughout the day in my legs and arms,even wen lying down. I couldn’t stand or walk. Rang 111,told me a out of hours dr would ring me, wen they did ring they just told me to go to a and e. went the next day as I was just so exhausted from the pain and lack of sleep. When I did go I could hardly stand at reception,my legs just effing killed!! Pain on standing is unbearable 😓 waited 5 hours to see a dr. Did a urine sample and said I had a infection,even tho I feel ok down there now. Told him about what I took. He looked at my medical record… my dr put something up in 2012 abt me never to be given…..trimethoprim 😳 I remembered that’s why the name seemed familiar ,I had a similar reaction to it then with pain in my legs but I can’t recall it being as bad as this,and I only took one this time!!! 72 hours later after taking that pill I’m still getting pains on standing,I can’t do the washing up or stand in a queue because my legs just kill!! Anyone else had a similar thing with this,I’m just scared I’ve done some damage to my nerves in my legs. I’m still getting random aching but not as bad,it’s just the more I can’t stand without being in excruciating pain.surely the pill is out of my system by now 😳. Any advice would be grateful ❤️🥰
