Why does my head hurt when I lie down?

Looking for advice on a relative minor problem which is causing me a lot of discomfort!

When I lie down to go to sleep I feel a pressure on my head, primarily around my temples upwards. This is regardless of the type of pillows I use or the position they are in. I'm careful to make sure they support my neck in such a way that my neck isnt crooked. I lie on my side primarily but if I lie on my back then I will feel the pressure then in the back of my head.

It is almost as if simply the weight of lying down is too much!

I'm on meds for high blood pressure which are working well and have a BMI of 31.4. This has been happening on and off since before I started blood pressure meds.

Any ideas about what this could be?

I have the same since I banged my head a few weeks ago . I cannot offer advice but am going to try and speak to GP this week. Have you been checking BP regularly?

I would think it's your sinuses. I know when there is slight infection in them and you bend forwards it's like being hit across the face by a baseball bat.

Try sinutab or similar to help with any inflammation. Or do a Vicks steam bowl/towel thing for congestion.

Hi,

Op did you ever get to the bottom of the pressure? I’m having similar issues.
